The U.S government underwent extensive testing of some of the best knives out there from a number of U.S. knife manufacturers. When all was said and done, the SOG Seal knife came out on top. Just as only a select few make it into the Navy Seals, the SOG seal passed their test. The evaluation included incredible tests that covered the following: sharpness and edge retention, two weeks of salt water immersion, twist off limits of the handle, tip breaking strength, chopping and hammering, cutting ability, prying, low noise and intense handling in the field.
